5/29/2023 0 Comments Sunflower lyrics meaning![]() ![]() I tried my best to analyze these lyrics, because I’ve never in my life actually heard someone say “party on tilt” so I had to use context clues. The “on tilt” part possibly means that they keep trying to make things work in their relationship, but the more they keep trying, the worse things get. Sunflower received its official release on October 18, 2018. The production of Sunflower was handled by Bell and Lang (both of whom also co-wrote it). The other two are Billy Wash and Carter Lang. “Lookin’ at you sideways” so they are looking at the person who is arguing with them doubtfully (perhaps meaning they are doubting the romantic relationship, possibly considering that they shouldn’t be together/dating anymore.) As for the “party on tilt” line, I think the word “party” in this context may actually be referring to the person they are dating (the person who was screaming at them.) “Party” can actually mean “person” in English, although most commonly is used for a celebration event/friends getting together to have fun. Sunflower was co-penned by Post Malone, Swae Lee and three others, including noted American music producer/songwriter Louis Bell. ![]() Note how before this line in the song (party on tilt), the lyrics refer to someone (their girlfriend/boyfriend) screaming at him, possibly they are in an argument.
